A Reddit user by the name of spitfyrez shared a screenshot of a message from the official Xbox Twitter account congratulating them for being selected as a potential winner of the covetedBarbie-themedXbox Series Salong with a laundry list of other prizes, including various interchangeable faceplates, toys, and 3 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. The entire package has an Approximate Retail Value (ARV) of $668.50, according to the message. The unfortunate spitfyrez only captured the first part of the message from Xbox in the original post, but shared a link to a gallery that reveals the reason they lost out.
At the end of the message, Xbox asked spitfyrez to respond within 48 hours to confirm their eligibility and claim the uniqueBarbieconsole. The OP shares that they are not a regular Twitter user, and did not see the message until more than a week after Xbox sent it.Xbox regularly releases custom consoles, so at the very least it won’t be the last chance for spitfyrez to win one, even if they were unlucky this time around. Winning one of these competitions twice might be a long shot, but isn’t impossible.
