For the most part, the promo focuses on vampires using supernatural abilities to do battle across the neon-lit, underground nightclubs and darkened rooftops that have become synonymous with the series. It seems customization will be a big part of the experience, with the clip highlighting players changing the appearance and clothing of their vampiric avatar, while there already looks to be tons of weapons, including katanas, pistols, sub-machine guns, and rifles.
Of course, players will mostly rely on their supernatural powers, with the trailer revealing there will be an arsenal of abilities to wield. Players can teleport around the battlefield in a cloud of black mist, use brutal claws, run up buildings, and stun opponents with a flash of blinding light. While it seems many of the powers fromVampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlineswill crop up in the title, the trailer hints that there’s more for returning fans to discover.Bloodhuntis shaping up to be an interesting new take on the series, pitting the franchise’s titular vampires against each other in fast-paced multiplayer action.
It already looks to be a fun companion piece tothe upcomingVampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, which was delayed indefinitely following some major setbacks earlier this year. The reveal came alongside the announcement that Paradox Interactive was replacing the highly-anticipated sequel’s developer, Hardsuit Labs, back in February. Since then, very little has emerged about the project, with fans waiting to hear more about its new direction. However, Bloodlines 2andBloodhuntaren’t the onlyVampire: The Masqueradegames in production, with a story-focused title known asSwansongalso in development. Players will hear more about the spin-offwhen it’s shown at the Nacon Connect Event next month.
