In a post on Reddit by Butterflychunks, the user places a side-by-side look at the new 1980’s map and the originalCall of Duty: WarzoneVerdansklayout. There are some obvious cross-overs as Boneyard, Superstore, and Downtown are all in the same location. One major difference is the military base’s rename to Airfield, the lack of Gora Dam, and the factory placed to the left of the Superstore. While the labels are not official, they still present an interesting look at what could be coming to the game. All of the labels were generated based onCall of Duty: Warzoneleaks and data-mined information.
In the comments, the post’s author points out that the labels come from the game files themselves. Tranzit fromCall of Duty: Black Ops 2,Summit fromBlack Ops 1,and many other places are the file names themselves. Now, this does not mean that they will match the original locations, and it could be that fans are mistranslating information as Summit could simply be the top of a mountain.
