While popular Twitch streamerSummit1Ghas been diving intoThe Elder Scrolls Onlinerecently, fans were a bit confused when the content creator announced he’d be moving on from the MMO only three weeks after claiming it would be the next big game to dominate his streams. However, it seems Summit1G has finally revealed on Twitter why he decided to dropElder Scrolls Onlinein favor of something new, citing the reaction it provoked from him as the central reason.

Talking with fellow streamer KingRichard on Twitter, theTwitchmainstay was asked whether it was the actual game itself that made him benchElder Scrolls Online, with Richard claiming the titlehas “god tier potential” that it doesn’t capitalize on. Summit reveals, however, that it’s not really the game itself, replying, “Guess I don’t really know the differences of then and now. All I know is it causes a rage that I can’t have anymore lol.”

As fans know,Summt1G’s frustrations with the game are fairly well documented, with the streamer apologizing recently to his chat after getting openly angry with them duringElder Scrolls Onlinestreams. The apology took place on a recent broadcast, with Summit admitting that he saw a notable change in both the tone of the chat and himself when playing the game, telling viewers that the MMO brought “a different type of attitude to the channel.” He followed up by saying that he was “starting to get a little too salty,” with the game’s tedious mechanics clearly causing him to fester a negative attitude.

It comes as no surprise then that Summit has made the decision to bench the game, especially if it’s beginning to cause a notable rift between him and his audience. Alongside explaining his decision in the Twitter reply, the streamer also asked for new suggestions for games to play, with viewers highlighting a number of interesting options.Destiny 2, Dead by Daylight, Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord, andGroundedhave all been offered as suggestions, with numerous fans chiming in with support for each. Whatever Summit does next, it’s clear he has a ton of options in regards to what he wants to play.

Outside of Summit1G’s streams, Twitch has been something of a controversial landscape as of late. Perhaps the biggest lingering talking point surrounding the site isthe mysterious banning of Dr DisRespect, with the iconic streaming personality mysteriously removed without a reason. Some have put it down to severe legal trouble, others have claimed it’s some sort of strange conspiracy. Regardless of what it is, its something the major streaming platform has to discuss publically in the coming months.
