The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrimis a massive game made even bigger by its expansions. Between the huge base game and its expansions,Skyrimhas 75 achievements to unlock, many of which require significant time investment on the part of the player. Some of theseSkyrimachievements are more difficult than others, with one in particular known to give players a pretty hard time in Bethesda’s massive open world RPG.
One of the hardest achievements to unlock inSkyrimis the Oblivion Walker achievement. For the unfamiliar, the Oblivion Walker achievement inSkyrimis unlocked by collecting 15 Daedric Artifacts in a single playthrough. The problem is that many of theDaedric Queststied to these Artifacts are glitchy, and there are ways that players can lock themselves out of getting some of the Daedric Artifacts. And with a limited number of them available in the game, it’s no wonder that a mere 1.57% ofSkyrim Special Editiongamers on Xbox have unlocked the achievement.

Part of the reason why theSkyrimOblivion Walker achievement is so difficult to unlock is that choices players make can lock them out of getting some of the artifacts. For example, there’s a quest called A Daedra’s Best Friend, wherein players get to choose betweenthe Rueful Axeor the Masque of Clavicus Vile depending on the choice they make at the end of it. However, the Rueful Axe does not count as a Daedric Artifact, and so choosing it locks players out of getting one of the Daedric Artifacts they need to get the Oblivion Walker achievement.
On the flip side of that, there is an exploit that players can take advantage of to get two Daedric Artifacts for the price of one. In the quest Ill met By Moonlight, players can get both the Ring of Hircine andSavior’s Hide. This makes it a little easier to unlock the Oblivion Walker achievement, but it’s still by no means any easy feat.
In total, there are17 Daedric ArtifactsthatSkyrimplayers can possibly get in a single playthrough, so there is some wiggle room. However, it’s best for anySkyrimplayers going for the Oblivion Walker achievement to prioritize it with a guide handy, so they don’t make any wrong decisions. It’s also a good idea to save frequently, as there are manySkyrimglitches that can make getting the Oblivion Walker achievement impossible without starting a new save.
