The MyRise mode ofWWE 2K23is seemingly trying to hide an Easter egg related to the former WWE superstar Dean Ambrose, now known as Jon Moxley, who wrestles in AEW. A Reddit user, Knucklehead202, shared an in-game snapshot of WWE legend Shawn Michaels inWWE 2K23, and in that picture, there is a carton box with the words “Dirty Deeds” inscribed on it.

During his time with WWE, ‘‘Dirty Deeds’’ used to be Dean Ambrose’s iconic finishing move. Nevertheless, after leaving WWE in 2019, Dean not only changed his name to Jon Moxley, but he also altered the name of his finisher to “Paradigm Shift.” Although his renowned finishing move in WWE mysteriously turned up as an Easter egg, there is no sign of the superstar making his comeback in WWE yet. However, Jon Moxley is aplayable character inAEW: Fight Forever.

The inclusion of “Dirty Deeds” inWWE 2K23could simply be a nod to Moxley’s past in WWE and not necessarily a hint at any further Easter eggs related to the wrestler. However, it does add another layer of intrigue to the game and suggests thatthe developers at 2K Sports are paying attention to the fans' interests. Apart from the Easter egg, fans have noticed that certain moves and taunts used by the player’s custom-made superstar in MyRise are similar to those used by Moxley in AEW. This has led some fans to believe that there may be a hidden character or storyline related to Moxley within the game.

Of course, these Easter eggs could be nothing more than coincidences, and 2K Sports has yet to confirm or deny the existence of any secret character or storyline related to Jon Moxley. However, the rumors have certainly piqued the interest of fans who are eager to uncover the mystery. The “Dirty Deeds” Easter egg is one of a few inWWE 2K23.There is another Easter egg related to Sami Zayn, which is ‘’El Ordinero." This name is a reference to Zayn’s previous moniker before joining WWE, “El Generico.’’ Moreover, other notable Easter eggs from previous WWE 2K games include a hidden area called “The Phenomenal Palace” inWWE 2K19, a reference to wrestler AJ Styles, and a secret arena based on wrestler Bray Wyatt’s “Firefly Fun House” segment inWWE 2K20.

Overall, having “Dirty Deeds” as an Easter egg inWWE 2K23is a lovely touch for Jon Moxley fans and adds another layer of depth to the game. While it remains to be seen whether there are any other Easter eggs relating to Moxley in the game or any otherunexpected superstar inductions toWWE 2K23’s roster, these facts have undoubtedly generated a lot of interest and expectation for the game’s release.
