Months afterThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomhit the shelves, players are still coming up with some of the most creative designs in modern gaming. Oftentimes, these designs not only look cool, but they’re practical as well. For example, the multistage plane that oneTears of the Kingdomplayer built using Zonai cannonslooks amazing in the air and helps the player reach higher areas of the map.

Reddit user osh-kosh-ganache created a vehicle that not only looks cool, but also has anextremely powerful Zonai lasercapable of decimating enemy camps. The posted video starts with the player on top of a design built out of Zonai devices that looks exactly like Godzilla. The massive beast stomps around the Depths and runs into a group of enemies. With the monster’s mouth wide open, the player fires off a laser that sends half of the bad guys flying. The player fires off a few more lasers that activate the timed bombs nearby, causing massive explosions in the monster’s wake.

This Godzilla design was created using an assortment of randomZonai devices and items found inTears of the Kingdomincluding four big wheels, two stabilizers, and a boat. According to osh-kosh-ganache, their design moves well but struggles on hills. What’s really interesting with this design is how the player created the devastating laser attack.

The laser in this Godzilla’s mouth was created by using a new technique called phantom clipping. To use this technique, the player must first use the Autobuild ability to create something using Zonai devices that are lying around Hyrule. Then, the player will need to travel far enough away for the Zonai devices to respawn. The exact same item from the same spawn point has nocollision detection inTears of the Kingdom, which means that when the player returns to the area where the Zonai device was, they can use the Ultrahand ability to “clip” the newly spawned device into the previously built creation. In the case of the Godzilla design, it may look like there’s only one laser in its mouth, but it’s actually multiple lasers “clipped” into one, making it a much more powerful weapon.

Phantom clipping may sound complicated at first, but it’s easy to understand once the player does it a few times. Although there is a good chance that Nintendo will patch this exploit out in a future update. Also, this technique uses up more power, so players may want to equip all three pieces ofZonaite Armor found inTears of the Kingdomto consume less battery.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomis available on Nintendo Switch.
