Ahead ofZenless Zone Zero’s global launch, the developers at Hoyoverse have revealed some brand-new playable agent characters, a new area, story chapters, and other content that will be available in the game.Zenless Zone Zerois the latest action RPG release fromHoyoverse, the developers ofGenshin ImpactandHonkai Star Rail. Unlike the latter two games,Zenless Zone Zerotackles the urban fantasy sci-fi genre, though it has the same stylish combat as Hoyoverse’s other titles and other hack-and-slash action games likeDevil May Cry, along with appealing character designs and weapons.
Zenless Zone Zero’s release dateis very close as well, with the game launching its 1.0 version in July. The game has already amassed a number of pre-release registrations, which also gave players the chance to obtain several in-game rewards that could be used for free gacha pulls. The global launch ofZenless Zone Zerois highly anticipated, and players are excited to see what has changed between the closed beta test and the launch version. Hoyoverse gives fans a brief rundown of what to expect in terms of new content at the game’s upcoming launch.
In a pre-release livestream ofZenless Zone Zero, the player explores a city known as New Eridu, a metropolis that is safe from the dark spherical calamity known as Hollows. Theprevious playtests ofZenless Zone Zerogave players access to Sixth Street, which is a “small” part of New Eridu, according to the developers. In the global launch version, players will be able to explore Lumina Square, the commercial district of New Eridu. Players ofZenless Zone Zerocan find Bangboos that need help, cargo trucks, and other rewards that are hidden from the player that contain rewards. The video store in the city has also expanded, where it now has a second floor where players can rest, play music, or put photos on the wall to catalog their in-game adventure.
The developers also revealed a new set ofplayable characters inZenless Zone Zero, such as the Cunning Hares group, and the Belobog Heavy Industries. Characters from these two groups can be encountered in the early chapters, and in Chapter 2 Interlude and Chapter 3, players can get a playable version of Officer Zhu Yuan, along with members of the Victoria Housekeeping group. New characters Lucy and Piper from a faction outside of New Eridu called the Sons of Calydon will join the player as playable agents. Several Bangboos will also be under the player’s command as companion characters.
Currently,Zenless Zone Zerois a PS5 console exclusive, though Hoyoverse has expressed interest in bringing the game to Xbox and Nintendo Switch platforms. For the time being,Zenless Zone Zerois looking to be an exciting game from Hoyoverse’s library.
